C-Level Executives & Industry Experts in the Canadian Mentoring Service

The Canadian Technology Accelerator in Boston

(CTA Boston) is an award-winning incubator program that drives growth for small and medium sized Canadian companies. Operated by the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, the program has assisted hundreds of Canadian companies since its founding in 2013.

Participating companies come from across Canada in a variety of industries such as: information and communication technologies; healthcare – including biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics, scientific research tools and enabling technologies; health IT; advanced manufacturing; robotics; clean tech; and emerging food technologies.

The program provides selected Canadian companies with business acceleration services that help commercialize or scale their business in the U.S. market. It includes a four-month residency at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts and offers team mentoring from the Canadian Mentoring Service, which comprises more than 100 trained mentors from the Canadian Entrepreneurs in New England organization. In addition to office space and individualized mentor teams, the participating companies also receive introductions to local industry leaders, venture capitalists, other key resources as well as access to a CTA toolbox that provides privileged access to technical support resources, training material, software and other digital platforms to help with business workflows, data analysis and communication.  The toolbox can be accessed here for current and former CTA companies.

The CTA Boston was awarded 2016 Accelerator Program of the Year by the International Business Innovation Association.
